You pay about a dollar per mission since there is 20 in the campaign, and there's a skirmish mode, 3 difficulties and a map editor. Don't expect C&C or They are Billions, it's an RTS/tower defense hybrid of sorts. You get a certain number of nodes each map, each node can place 3 buildings, buildings include defense towers and other structures like a super weapons factory for creating nukes, etc. Then very quickly you fight waves of space zombies.Tips: -upgrade your extractors all the way as fast as you can-don't be afraid to sell towers and move them when you need to defend another area-constantly be making super weapons and calling in reinforcements-once you've researched all the weapon types, sell the research building and use that slot for another defense tower-the game has a pause feature and a slow motion feature, I don't think you can build when paused but you can in slow motion and I use it all the time, so I recommend you bind it to something comfortable (all keys can be rebound which is another plus since I'm left handed).. Zombie survival RTS game, reminds me of "They are Billions" loads of polish here, nice balance and a decent difficulty curve.. Really not a good game, allready at lvl 4 im stuck , not getting any further, and i dont care about getting further eighter, its just not a fun game.if you want a ok tower defence game, look elsewhere.. It’s a shame that MarZ Rising isn’t getting more visibility, because it’s well worth it.It’s one of those game for which trailers and screenshots cannot convey its real tone, design and production value. And while many will look at it and think "RTS", it’s definitely more a tower defense game with a very fluid and adaptive gameplay – meaning that a player can’t just set up defenses and ride them to victory: he has to adapt, rethink and reorganise. It’s not so much They are Billions, as it is Infested Planet meets Surviving Mars – and it works!As of this writing, MarZ Rising is still in Early Access. It still has room to grow and still need content and polish, but it’s already a solid experience. The game is being updated regularly, the developers are present, they answer questions and provide feedback. All in all, it’s EA done well.. The game is good but it's freaking difficult. The mouse control does not always work properly. The man sometimes goes into crowd of zombies when you want him shoot; and stop moving when you want him go into the machine gun pot. The pace of the game is too fast while the control sucks, your whole base can be wiped out in a few seconds if the control is not working. Furthermore, the resource is too limited, even if you have enough credits, you don't have enough men to manipulate the machines. Game is amazing very much enjoyable havent found an issue so far passed mission 6 with no issues very enjoyable!. Giving it a positive review, even though I'm returning the game and closing the door. My curiosity was sated in 3 missions.Ultimiately I got annoyed too quickly. I only played the first three missions, but the mechanic of giving you a "perk" for a perfect score provided far too important and offered too much frustration.The problem is 90% of the 3 maps I played were cake walks until the last few waves when I realized I messed up ever so slighty enough that a single zombie punched to my base would set me back another 10+ minutes trying again.Seeing the game is 20 or so maps, I don't see myself enjoying the escalation of difficultt that will likely be determined by how fast I can Micro-mange limited units hopping from base, to turret, to turret. Game feels like a realy nice RTS for people who like frantic RTS defense. Sadly, that's not me.. 3/5I wouldn't go into details. Much good has been covered - good gameplay, graphics etc. Its like Planetbase but with BIG guns.The negative for me - once you play higher difficulty (challenge and ?hard, i forgot), the difficulty is made in such a way that it is rather memorization rather than tactics. E.g: by this time must build X then Y at this exact moment..... much like They are Billions.
